How the scoring works

You can have a password which will score Good with just 9 characters, mixing letters (incuding at least two capitals) with one or two numbers and one or two symbols.   Placing the numbers and symbols at the beginning of the password or adding them at the end will reduce your score.

You can have a stronger and better password with more characters - a phrase or sentence which can be much easier to remember. The more letters (including capitals) the less need for symbols and numbers, making it easier to enter, particularly on a mobile device.
